AU Information

AU Name: Trilla Suduri
AU Age: 18
Physical Differences: Trilla is physically more or less the same, though any scars she would've had from life were healed upon becoming a novice.
AU History:

Trilla was born in the Red Court lands, but left there as an infant after her father disappeared to join the Courts, after which point she and her mother traveled around quite a bit, as her mother feared that her father would eventually return for his family, and she did not want that life for Trilla. She found the brutality inherent to the Courts distasteful, and attempted to instill those same values into Trilla for her entire childhood.

Because her mother was well-educated enough to serve as a tutor/governess for wealthier families, Trilla lived a relatively comfortable life for years at a time, but it was full of instability, and often Trilla found herself envying those who had more, and particularly those of the wealthy who had strong ties to the Courts. Occasionally Trilla would be allowed to learn alongside the children that her mother taught. In one home she was even able to trade horse-riding lessons, in another basic swordsmanship. However, every time she and her mother were forced to relocate she grew resentful of and yet curious about her father, and began to secretly investigate the Courts in order to gather knowledge about them and attempt to piece together anything she could about the father whose name she was never told.

She was chosen as a Foundling shortly after she turned 18, much to her mother’s dismay; she was told never to return on the day that she left, as she had broken her heart and was not the child she’d hoped to have raised. Trilla took the last name Suduri for herself before she came to the Castle, both out of hurt at her mother’s rejection and to hide her parentage in case her father is indeed here. She does not want to earn his approval on her name alone, and furthermore she wants to be certain she is safe from any enemies he might’ve gained in the 18 years he’s been gone.

AU Personality:
Trilla is more similar to the Padawan she was before being taken by the Inquisition, but she has retained the core traits of being quick-witted, crafty, and persistent with a strong perfectionist streak. She lacks the cruelty that her canon incarnation displays, as she was never tortured into breaking nor does she have the degree of resentment for her parents as she did for her Jedi Master. She wishes to be the best at what she does, but at the point at which she enters Castle Courtsheart she has never seriously considered doing harm to another person.

She is similar to her canon personality in that she has a sharp tongue and a temper she finds it difficult to keep control of. Furthermore, she is passionate in her emotions and finds it difficult to repress negative ones even when she would benefit from restraint. She has a lot of anger that she’s felt she had to repress for much of her childhood in order to be accepted, and she doesn’t understand where it comes from, so she can be prone to lashing out verbally and enjoys sparring both physically and intellectually.

Novice Information

Starting Season: Second
Maker: Foundling
Anticipated Court: Trilla is absolutely convinced, through what she’s been able to find out, that her father is or was a part of the Black court. That’s the reasoning she thinks she has; the reality is that there’s a part of Trilla that is just drawn to mystery, to darkness, to the forbidden – and she wants more than anything else to prove that she is capable of surviving this world. Therefore, she sets herself the highest challenge she can think of; to master the classes of the Court that she’s been able to divine the least about. And as she starts to remember more and more about the person she was, she will realize just how well this Court suits her darker tendencies.
